  • 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
  • Campfire circle located west of the Lodge

Free with Park Admission.  Meet at the Campfire Circle
Registration required, 850-561-7286

Come and join a ranger around the fire and learn about some of the food preparation techniques of our past. People have lived along the edge of the river for centuries and have needed to adapt different techniques for cooking. Watch a demonstration of different primitive food preparation techniques including smoking, mudding, and even boiling water in a hollow log. There may even be a sample of smoked mullet if it doesn’t jump off your plate!

The event is free with paid park admission. Meet at the fire circle west of the Lodge.

Please call 850-561-7286 to register.
