Tour the Newest Addition to Wakulla Springs!

The Ferrell Tract includes 715 acres of land within the Wakulla Spring watershed.  Several sinks on the property have been explored by divers who have documented a direct connection to Wakulla Spring.  The acquisition of this property ensures that this sensitive recharge area will be preserved and protected for years to come.  This new acreage has not yet been added to the Park’s Unit Management Plan so it is not yet open to the public.  The Friends of Wakulla Springs have been supporters of the acquisition of this property for many years, so the park is offering a behind the scenes tour after the Annual Meeting.  After a brief introduction, the group will take a driving tour to see some of the features of the land.

Specific directions to the meeting site (approximately 2 miles north of the park) will be provided prior to the tour.
